This short-sleeved open collar shirt is made of indigo-dyed Kanoko Aimadara fabric. Having a pattern that allows for a bit of room in the body and sleeves, it also has a simple design with only one pocket.
A new indigo fabric created with the image of a "kanoko" or fawn, which is also a summer seasonal word in Japan. The pattern of the fawn's back with it's scattered spots is expressed here using a dye made from a blend of natural indigo and regular indigo, and a beautiful brown thread. Using sashiko weaving techniques, indigo thread is used in the sashiko parts that are prone to fading due to friction, so the spotted pattern will stand out more with repeated wear. The thick overlapping threads also make the fabric really durable
