FABRIC: In Dimapur, Nagaland, we work with Viko Ethnic, where backstrap weaving continues in the hands of women who have carried its patterns through generations. Each motif reflects tribal identity, held in the rhythm of the loom and the memory of those who weave it. Kardo's Naga fabrics are set into both handwoven textile and handwoven denim, so two lineages of craft meet in a single cloth. Note: Indigo dyeing may leave soft irregularities and a hue that fades gently over time. These reflect slow, mindful craftsmanship, not flaws. Dry crocking — the transfer of colour onto other surfaces when the fabric is dry — may also occur. Please avoid light-coloured clothing until the excess colour has released.
